The BLSO school is continuing to grow and support the children of migrant workers in Mae Sot. An updated report on the school (July 2006) is in the reports section. School Nutrition Program - 30th June 2006
The teachers identified the lack of good quality nutrition for the children. At lunch time the children were not eating and often had not had breakfast. We now provide meals to the students in order to assist their nutrition needs which increases their abilitiy to concerntrate. Lack of funding means we cannot provide food every day. School enrolments - May 21st 2006
The new school term started with enrolments and a meeting with teachers. Before the school opened parents, teachers and students prepared the school, painting blackboards and furniture as well as performing general cleaning duties. We'll put up more picutre updates soon. |
