News Bulletins - Thin Yebaw

In response to the lack of information on the rights of Burmese migrant workers in Thailand the BLSO has successfully launched a news bulletin which is distributed to factories around Mae Sot. Launched in early 2005 the bulletins include a great deal of news about the situation in Burma and offers support and assistance to workers and their families. The bulletins also highlight the ability of workers who organise and know their rights to be successful in their claims for unfair dismissal, correct wages and other related issues. We have included three editions below. BLSO members have distributed these to a wide range of factories and they have been very well received.

BLSO Journal - Thin Yebaw

The BLSO have now  launched a journal building on the success of the news bulletins.

The aims for the journal are:

1. To inform Burmese workers about Thailand's alient migrant workers policy;

2. To share news from and about the factories operating in Mae Sot among workers;

3. To create awareness of, the current economic and political situation of Burma.

The journal has a print run of over 1000 and has taken a leading role in educating and supporting workers and their families. Below we have included several issues in PDF format.
